Mid-State Technical College

Mid-State Technical College meets the needs of fire departments, EMS agencies, private industry, and individuals through a wide variety of educational opportunities.  Wisconsin firefighter certification courses, National Fire Academy courses, safety and leadership topics, technical rescue, hazardous materials, and customized training are just a few of the areas in which we engage with students.  The college also offers a Fire Protection Technician associate degree program to assist the individual who is looking to prepare for a career in the fire service.  The fire degree coupled with our accredited paramedic program will prepare a student to leave Mid-State with a well-rounded education in the fire and EMS areas.  For those incumbent fire and EMS professionals who are looking to further their career we also offer a completely online associate degree in Emergency Services Management.  Training sites are currently located at the Wisconsin Rapids campus as well as a joint training site in Marshfield that is a partnership between the college and the Marshfield Fire Department.
