Historical WTCS Perkins Planning Process

The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 provides an increased focus on the academic achievement of career and technical education students, strengthening the connections between secondary and postsecondary education, and improving state and local accountability. The U.S. Department of Education's reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) was signed into law on August 12, 2006. The new Act will provide an increased focus on the academic achievement of career and technical education students, strengthen the connections between secondary and postsecondary education, and improve state and local accountability. Perkins Five-Year State Plan

For the plan document please refer to the table at the bottom of the page.  The State Board adopted a Five-Year State Plan at the Board's April 2, 2008 meeting.  At this time, the final version of the State Plan is provided for information only.  Funding amounts described in the document are based on funds made available to the State of Wisconsin for FY 2008-09.
