Reciprocal certification shall be issued upon request to individuals currently certified by entities whose certifications are accredited by International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and/or the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board).

Please include in the request copies of the certificates (with legible certificate numbers) with the accreditation agency clearly displayed, full name, address, and phone number of the individual requesting reciprocity. See Policy 7: Reciprocal Certification, FSEO Policy and Procedures Manual.
Individuals may be granted "Advanced Standing" through recognition of equivalent training from another state or agency. Individuals granted Advanced Standing will be allowed a one-time challenge of both the written and practical examinations for the requested certification level(s). All challenges must begin at the lowest pre-requisite level and testing must be successfully completed sequentially to the certification level requested.
Individuals seeking Advanced Standing must submit documentation of training/education/certification from other entities to the WTCS FSEO.
