Accountability

The System Board has established and negotiated with the Department of Education the required Core Indicators of Performance for postsecondary eligible recipients, in accordance with Perkins V guidance from the U.S. Department of Education.  The performance levels are to be measurable and provide for continuous improvement in the performance of students as measured by the Core Indicators of Performance.  The Perkins V Accountability Guide (below) provides information on Perkins indicators, definitions for special populations, improvement plans, cohort measurement, and the WTCS Perkins V Dashboard.

  • Federal Indicators:
    • 1P1: Post-Program Placement
    • 2P1: Credential Attainment
    • 3P1: Concentration in Nontraditional Occupation (NTO) Programs
  • WTCS State-level Early Momentum Metrics:
    • 4P1: Successful Completion of Technical Courses
    • 5P1: Successful Completion of General Education Courses
    • 6P1: Second-Year Retention
