Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute (WLDI)

The Wisconsin Technical College System celebrates its successful leadership development program. Since 1995, hundreds of WTCS administrative and faculty leaders have completed the program. The entire System, as well as individual colleges, are strengthened through the enhanced leadership skills of its current and future leaders.

WLDI Transitions

As of June 30, 2025, The Chair Academy — the foundational partner for WLDI’s leadership development curriculum — has officially concluded its operations. We are grateful for the valuable contributions the Academy has made to leadership growth across the Wisconsin Technical College System.

In response, Wisconsin Technical College Presidents are actively collaborating to design a new, forward-looking leadership curriculum that will carry WLDI into its next chapter: WLDI 2.0.

We are committed to continuing the tradition of excellence in leadership development and will update this webpage with new information as it becomes available.
