AEFLA Title II and Development and Expansion IET programs
WTCS IET Design Camp
The WTCS Adult Education Team developed a nine-part IET Design Camp which incorporates foundational information for practitioners to support their development of IET programming. Through the WTCS IET Design Camp, practitioners are provided with knowledge to effectively plan, design, implement, and evaluate IET programs that are responsive to state and local labor market demands and fulfill the requirements of WIOA. The WTCS IET Design Camp was designed with information drawn from the AIR and SAFAL Partners IET Design Toolkit. Practitioners developing or maintaining IET programs are encouraged to consult the WTCS IET Design Camp recordings, the IET Design Toolkit, and the additional resources found near the bottom of this webpage.
- Learning Session #1 IET Fundamentals – Viewers will be provided an overview of the federal WIOA IET requirements and Wisconsin policy for IET development
- Learning Session #2 Assessing Community Needs for IET – Viewers will be provided an overview of the importance of conducting a community needs assessment as well as important steps in the needs assessment process
- Learning Session #3 Establishing a Foundation for IET – Viewers will be provided an overview of the importance of establishing an IET Design Team as well as developing partner, learner, and program goals.
- Learning Session #4 Designing a Sustainable IET Program Structure – Viewers will be provided with an overview of the five key decision points in developing their IET program as well as considerations for instructional delivery and virtual learning.
- Learning Session #5 Designing the IET Learner Experience – Viewers will be provided an overview of the four stages of the learner experience as well as considerations for each phase.
- Learning Session #6 Developing an IET Evaluation Plan – Viewers will be provided an overview of the importance of planning for IET evaluation and key features of a successful IET evaluation plan.
- Learning Session #7 Developing a Single Set of Learning Objectives – Viewers will be provided with an overview of developing an IET program’s Single Set of Learning Objectives.
- Learning Session #8 Instructional Design for IET – Viewers will be briefed on considerations for IET instructional design using the IET programs established Single Set of Learning Objectives.
- Learning Session #9 Improving IET Programs – Viewers will be provided with an overview of important steps to evaluating and improving IET programming.
