Policy manuals and user guides are available throughout the MyWTCS site and each has an owner. This page provides an overview of those manuals and guides, and identifies the owner for each, along with a link to the document or page.
The purpose of this guidance is to provide Wisconsin Technical College district staff with a convenient resource to administrative guidance established by the System Office. Guidance includes program and material fee guidance, student fee guidance and reporting requirements for the current and forthcoming year.
This is the user guide for the Client Reporting System. The Client Reporting System contains the following: information about the students who are enrolled in WTCS courses and programs; information about individuals served through federally and state-funded grant programs; veterans information; and, basic education testing data.
This is the user manual for the Contract Reporting System. The Contract Reporting System contains demographic, course, revenue and FTE information, along with student counts for all WTCS contracts for services activities authorized under s.38.14, Wis. Stats. This system also contains information about the service recipients.
This manual is a guide for the Wisconsin Technical College Districts (collectively the “Colleges”) regarding the Course Approval Data System. Each of the sixteen Colleges is required to upload a course file to the Wisconsin Technical College System Office (WTCS) for approval. One record for each course must be submitted. The course approval record contains information for each course that is used for processing through system edits and warnings, Client Reporting data, and for use in program curriculum files.
This manual is a guide for the Wisconsin Technical College Districts (collectively the “Colleges”) regarding the Program Curriculum Data System. The Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Program Curriculum Data System houses the current curricula of WTCS approved programs. Each of the sixteen Colleges is required to upload a program curriculum file to the WTCS Program Curriculum Data System that contains information for all courses that comprise that program curriculum. The curriculum approval record contains information for each curriculum that is used for processing through system edits and warnings and Client Reporting data.
The Educational Services Manual (ESM) serves as the authoritative document and guide for Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) policies, processes and procedures related to educational services. The ESM’s main purpose is to provide consistent quality throughout the WTCS.
The Financial and Administrative Manual is intended for Wisconsin Technical College district business office staff to provide fiscal management standards and related reporting requirements. This includes standards and requirements for the Uniform Financial Fund Accounting System (UFFAS), Annual Budget, Financial and Single Audit, Cost Allocation Report, Procurement, and Facilities.
Guides for conducting and submitting responses to systemwide surveys of graduates, apprentice completers, and employers of WTCS graduates.
The Policy Manual provides a convenient resource for individuals interested in the operation of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board. The Policy Manual contains all WTCS Board policies currently in effect. Policy is formally adopted by the WTCS Board at regular meetings and is indefinite in duration.
